so whole foods had this really cool sweatshirt that had some northwest tribal art (i'll try and remember to look and see who made it). so when i was last home it made me want to study some of the northwestern native art. . . i thought it would be fun to kind of play with the lines and shapes that are common in it. . .





my black book had a link to finnish/english illustrator sanna annukka. my heritage is mostly finnish and english too but i thought her art has a lot of similarities with the native northwestern art. it is also inspired by native finnish art as well. . . it's pretty cool
