so when nearly having an emotional breakdown and a 10 year olds birthday party, the mother in law taught me some EFT (emotional freedom technique). this works so well. . . you can find lots of other videos online, but really it works so well. you can find it for happiness, anxiety, sleep, etc. . . but once you know the points you can just do it yourself with your own messages. . . it really really helps.

so change is the constant of life. . . some changes force growth and you get growing pains. this has been a crazy time of my life. i am on a roller coaster. maybe i should go on a roller coaster tomorrow. . . it's my birthday. 32 years i have been walking and breathing on this planet.

i have created a few things, nothing blog ready yet. i did do a friendship bracelet sort of strap with a shell to hold my pant leg on my bike. it matched my outfit, it was rad.

in the last 3 weeks i have watched all the episodes of my so called life streaming on netflix. it took me back. it's been like 16 years since i watched those. . . when i was 16. that's crazy. . . i don't feel that old! i guess i kind of do when i take palmer to the pool and there are 17 year old life guards! that show had such great writing and it resonates with me on a very deep level. i wish i would have written more during that time of my life so i could remember. it was stressful too. i just moved here from oregon. i had had the same friends almost my whole life and there i was in a school that had the same population as the town i was from! it was a culture shock. there were so many kids i would walk in the halls against the wall head down, even when there were no kids in the hall! one day, i was walking down the hall with the bathroom pass walking with my head down and a baseball player who was pretty cute and a year older than me said, "what are you doing? why are you walking like that? walk out in the middle with your head up! push people out of the way!" and he showed me how. head up, chest out, strutting down the hall. i wasn't even aware of how i had been walking and just now thinking about why.

why was i? i was scared. why was i scared? it was new. i was unsure. i was unconfident. i did make friends and i did start to walk different. leaning on the wall maybe isn't the greatest support.

so now, for my birthday resolutions (it is a new year for me after all), i should add to this list. . . 32 before 33!
1. let go of the things i don't need
2. meditate daily
3. practice self care
4. clearly define and start expressing the vision for my business
5. get organized
6. make a piece of clothing
7. do four 10 day fasts
8. ride bikes as much as possible
9. ride a horse

so i have been seeing a lot of dragonflies, like everywhere i look everyday i see one or two or three even once four. literally every day for the last few weeks i've been seeing dragonflies. this morning as i was leaving for work on the ground on my stoop were 4 dragonfly wings. . . what are they telling me? among other things:

Dragonfly embodies a stripping away of all the beliefs that say we cannot do this or that, achieve a dream or goal, it is to remind us that anything is possible when we really get the understanding that we are part of Spirit and as such we have the power to manifest anything that we desire. (i now have a place to practice massage & an art space)

Dragonfly is the keeper of dreams, the knower within that sees all of our true potential and ability. Dragonfly strips away the illusions that say to us we cannot achieve our dreams and goals, that we are not worthy or capable when in fact it is our birthright and our true power to create anything we choose!

Once the Dragonfly has emerged as a winged adult, it conquers the air through its swift flight. This indicates that working with Dragonfly energy may also help you come to some swift conclusions or new insights that help propel you into new ways of being and doing. Certainly it is a most important time for seeing through illusions and really hearing the messages that the Universe is sending you at this time. Beliefs that centre on powerlessness, limitation or fear are likely to be up for review and release. You always have the power to choose what you are going to believe in and focus on You always have the power to take action of some sort that will help change your current circumstances for the better. Working with Dragonfly medicine shows that you are ready to step beyond the mass thought of blaming "something out there" for your problems and instead are now getting down to the business of accepting responsibility for what happens in your life by making the appropriate changes as you feel guided.

i just finished this book, it's a biography of ayaan hirsi ali's life. it was amazing i could barely put it down. it also really shines a light on islam in such a personal way. i am definitely glad we can have an open discussion about religion in this country without fear of our safety and women aren't treated so oppressively, honor killed and excised! how horrible. . . she is an amazing woman, highly suggest it!

so i look up animal totems from time to time. . . when i was in the northwest we saw a LOT of vultures. . . culturally vultures get a bad wrap but here's what i found on the internet.

The vulture is a very powerful totem. Its cycle of power is year-round. Vulture it can show you how to use energy powerfully and efficiently. so had an amazing week really. i felt like there was date with destiny after date with destiny. i'm not quite sure where i'm going but i know i must be headed in the right direction.

i got to go to the most amazing show on monday night! the first moment my friends cadee and sarah got to the bluebird (my favorite denver venue) for the wanda jackson show, we met the opening band, the Dusty 45's, who are from seattle. the crowd was amazing. my outfit had come together out of no where (i'm working on drawing it for what i wore today). the show was so fun, i danced and danced and afterwards and then had some friend therapy that was SO needed. i told those ladies they should charge!

on wednesday i had a meeting with capital hill whole foods about bringing my chair massage business in. . . i got in.

i have so many work opportunities right now. so blessed and a bit overwhelmed. trying to figure out how this should look. how to delegate. i am so blessed right now, just need more time!

then i stopped by this antique store i haven't been in for probably 15 years. here are a few of the things i'm dreaming about for when we can start renovating our house. . .

last night we went to a art opening @ my friend cadee's salon. there were a bunch of people there i didn't even know were going to be there! my outfit came together again out of no where! it felt serendipitous. . .

and i'm going to be having Sundays off! that's my goal, having sundays off. . . it may become my favorite day again!

so whole foods had a vegan posole soup the other day so i thought i would make one. it turned out soooo yummy.
1/2 # dry posole & beans (i used pinto)
zucchini
mushrooms
2 ears of corn
onion
3 tomatoes
cholula
braggs amino
olive &/or flax oil or some high quality oil
dried thyme & cilantro
cumin
chili powder
veg broth
garlic
toppings: avocado, tomato, onion, fresh cilantro & lime

i soaked the beans and posole (hominy) overnight and after rinsing them a few times then woke them up with a bath in the crock pot this morning with mushroom broth, a couple garlic cloves and a bay leaf.
i had taken onion, zucchini and mushrooms and marinated them last night with cholula hot sauce, braggs amino acid, crushed garlic & a little olive oil (i also added some flax seed oil).
i cooked the beans and hominy a few hours then added the veggies and some chopped tomatoes. Added Cumin, some more braggs, chili powder, dried thyme & cilantro & powdered garlic and chopped some fresh corn right off the cob in there
cooked until hominy was tender (a few more hours). . .
topped with fresh cilantro, tomato, avocado and a squeeze of lime! add more cholula to taste and drizzle with flax seed oil if you want.
YUM!!!
that's how you do a vegan dinner (and lunch tomorrow!)

this is king, our new bulldog. he's 4.5 and a glorious little goblin.
he's really my hubby kiko's dog, i don't think i would have actually got him. he's really mellow though, as you can see, though he stinks. i think it's got to be in part to what he's eating and will start experimenting with that. i saw online someone said no grains in the food or no corn. he is sleeping by my feet right now. the only thing is my poor poor cat! she's so scared of him, i hope she relaxes.
i am on day 6 of the master cleanse with my buddy elysia. it was crazy the first day of spring i decided to start it and then she texted me that she had started the master cleanse wish her luck! meant to be! though i have 2 parties to go to this weekend but i have been feeling pretty good so i'm going to try and stick with it!

6. remove 2 massage chairs from car
7. drive west across town to drop off boy
8. drive S.E. to cck store
9. on way get call from distraught contractor (improptu counseling)
10. pick up paper work, say hi, go to the bathroom, buy water (reminder for to do list: change sign @ wsp)
11. drive north west across town
12. get 3 angry/annoyed emails from same therapist
13. get call from therapist (subject of email #3 from list # 12): "cabinet broken must be fixed immediately"
14. @ wsp pick up paperwork, say hi
15. call sister on drive west to another town
16. stop at walmart for wood glue
17. get email about apt. with client on wed @ 2 (i have no recollection of making said apt.)
18. drive south
19. get call therapist running 1/2 hour late
20. @ blm pick up papers, say hi, make copies, talk strategie, cabinet cannot be fixed now
21. head north then west to another town
22. @ cfx: set up space, pick up paperwork, try and say hi, go to bathroom, breathe
23. make phone calls, no one answers
24. drive east
25. stop @ thrift store. score 4 golden books for boy, celtic st. patrick ceramic wall hanging, 1964 siamese cat print & 2 national geographics about gold for collage of klimt detail.
26. drive north
27. stop @ target, new toaster & juicer
28. pick up boy, hang for last minutes of lunch say hi to all his buddies
29. heading home! call from friend
30. fight for nap. . .
then i emailed 25 emails, deleted 450 emails, got a call for an amazing business opportunity, printed sales, updated facebook, 15 texts, made a green juice with new juicer, cleaned kitchen, organized boys art supplies, did laundry and dishes, vacuumed, made exciting plans for the evening, found out chair broke @ 2 stores, broke exciting plans for the evening, laid on ground and stretched and breathed, searched craigslist for chairs & cabinets, hubby got home, went to try and remedy broken things (ran to 4 stores to no avail), finished bath, read stories, ate salad, , got my next 2 days of massage work covered!!!, watched an episode of portlandia (inwardly berating myself about being lazy), washed face, put on many fancy face creams (feeling blessed) had a little quality time with hubby, and then laid in bed thinking. . .

i am reading 5 books right now! they are all pretty good.
i was struck by something i read here in Alphonse Mucha his life and art

i have always loved mucha, i have 2 of his prints i got before i even knew who he was.
this book is great, it was writen by his son Jiri.
alphonse is quoted on pg 41:

"I said goodnight to Count Egon and returned thoughtfully to my room. There I sat down and looked at each of my pictures in turn. They all seemed small and full of mistakes. Despite the growing darkness I set up a fresh canvas and began to work. I wanted to paint something I would be really satisfied with. I worked a long time. so since my one actively crafty buddy tyler moved across the country i've been wanting to meet some more crafty people. . . i've been trying to get friends to go to a denver handmade alliance meeting/get together with me. no one would so i decided to just go by myself last night. it was the meeting of the events committee. i am now going to help by marketing the next event CRAFTY BALLYHOO! here in denver. they are collaborating with the city's "create denver week". i already met some great ladies at the meeting and next tuesday is the member's meeting. i'm trying to get some of my buddies to attend too.

so i got home last night and started doing a day of the dead painting of a figurine i got at a thrift store a'la tattoo tales and my tv died. was it a sign we just need to kill our tv? hmmm. . . it was crazy i was painting (a mary none the less) maybe it was too sacreligious

so i was watching antiques road show last night, and there was are really cool royal bonn art nouveau vase like this one. then i started looking around and found a little book with wood block prints from morin-jean. whom i haven't heard of but i think i got a good deal for $20. . .

heaters: sacks of rice

for many many years i've been using a bed buddy.

they are literally sacks of (uncooked) rice you stick in the microwave.
they are great because they put out a moist heat and moist heat penetrates your muscles vs. a heating pack, which is questionable because of the electric energy and it only heats the surface/skin. palmer's got his own now and actually he threw up on it and so i cut it open dumped out the rice and sewed him a new one. i used my old favorite cowboy sheet that had gotten a hole in it. i lined it with another jersey and added a few drops of lavender essential oil to the rice. . .

i used some of my old jeans legs for handles on his.
it's been freezing, well even below freezing (it was like -18 here the other day) so i've even brought it in the car on the way to school with us to keep bubba warm. . . he calls it his
"heater thing"
i made myself a new one out of the old flannel sheet i picked up at the thrift store:i made kiko a heart one for valentine's day. . . it's a little odd shaped but you get the drift. . . first try and all. . .
i thought you could put it over your shoulders with your neck in the dip of the heart. . .
heat them in the microwave for 2 minutes then shake up up and you can do it for a min to a min and half more depending on how hot ya want it.

covered as to why they fly that way:
as each bird flaps its wings, it creates an
uplift for the bird immediately following. By
flying in V formation the whole flock adds at least
71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.

People who share a common direction and sense of community
can get where they are going more quickly and easily
because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.

When
a goose falls
out of formation,
it suddenly feels the drag
and resistance of trying to go it alone
and quickly gets back into formation to take
advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front.

If we have as much sense as a goose,
we will stay in formation
with those who are headed the same way we are.

When
the Head Goose
gets tired, it rotates back
in the wing and another goose flies point.

It is sensible to take turns doing demanding jobs
with people or with geese flying South.

Geese
honk from behind to
encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

What do we say when we honk from behind?

Finally,

when a goose gets sick, or is
wounded by gunshots and falls out
of formation, two other geese fall out with that
goose and follow it down to lend help and protection.
They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly, or until
it dies. Only then do they launch out on their own, or with another formation
to catch up with their group.

An ancient Chinese blessing wishes recipients; "May you live in interesting times." Well, we now have the answer to that prayer. Actually, all times are interesting, just in different ways.

During the last week and month the economy seems to be at the top of most people's list of urgent issues to think and talk about. Today the U.S. government is issuing a new policy to deal with the economic upsets of late. Below are some suggestions on how to get to a better feeling place about the economy, and generate practical results for yourself and others.

Here is my six-point plan. I am not an economist, and frankly I don't understand all of the complexities of the current market. I do, however, understand the relationship between thought, belief, feeling, attitude, expectation, identity, and practical prosperity. So here is my six-point plan, which will surely work if you apply it:

1. Vision. A visionary sees and remembers the Big Picture in the face of current appearances to the contrary. The Big Picture of life is utter abundance. There are vast resources, economic and otherwise, for those who recognize and claim them. A visionary thrives under all conditions. There are always people who do well in difficult economic times, as well as those who flounder in prosperous times. It is not the economy at large that determines your well being; it is the consciousness you hold in relation to it. So you have the power to create a prosperous personal economy — and as you do, you will uplift the economy at large. The two greatest achievements of the twentieth century — the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State Building — were funded and built at the height of the great depression. Some individuals with a broad perspective were not limited by the prevalent beliefs of the masses. There are, and will be, people who prosper now and in the near future. I know people whose businesses are booming now. So can yours, and by your example you can manifest abundance that will inspire others and help them in material ways.

2. Trust. When human affairs appear to falter, the hand of the divine becomes very real and practical. A Higher Power is currently running the universe far more intelligently and successfully than even the best economists. The more you stay connected to that Higher Power, the richer will be your inner peace and your ability to make healthy, productive decisions. In a Greek myth, the King of Crete sent Theseus through the labyrinth to kill or be killed by the dreaded monster Minotaur. The king's daughter Ariadne fell in love with Theseus and gave him a thread that he let unwind on his way into the labyrinth, which guided him out once he slayed the monster. Whenever you feel trapped or lost in the labyrinth of worldly life, your strongest move is to take hold of the thread of your connection to Spirit, hold firm to it, and let it lead you back to well-being. One of Dr. Wayne Dyer's books is entitled, There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem, and no advice could be more appropriate than the economic situation we face at the moment.

3. Reframe. The Chinese written symbol for "crisis" is a combination of two other symbols: "Danger" and "Opportunity." Yes, there is a danger in our current position. And yes, there is an opportunity. Perhaps we are receiving a wake-up call to live within our means rather than leverage ourselves and our institutions beyond a healthy level. Or we are being invited to recognize that money does not make us rich, or its temporary absence of restriction make us poor. Perhaps this situation will influence the upcoming election in a way that will help us in the long run. Maybe there is a natural balancing occurring that will make our economy stronger. I cannot say exactly how this crisis will serve, but I do know that whenever I have faced and handled the experience of crisis in my personal life, I have been moved to make decisions that have made improved my world. A Course in Miracles tells us that "All change is good," and this should be no exception.

4. Reset Priorities. In an episode of the popular television series, Fantasy Island, called, "The Luckiest Man in the World," a gambler achieved his fantasy to create an unstoppable winning streak. True to form, Mr. Roark arranged for the man's young son to visit him at the same time. When the gambler became hypnotized by winning, he distanced himself from his son, and the boy was about to leave him. Finally the father realized he is the luckiest man in the world — not for his gambling winnings, but for his family. When money seems tight, we have a window of insight to recognize how rich we are, no matter how much we have in the bank. If many of us use this time to grow closer to our families, homes, nature, activities that truly bring us joy, ourselves, and our Higher Power, this upheaval will have served us well.

5. Circulate. Keep moving your energy, financially and otherwise. The brilliant metaphysician Florence Scovel Shinn noted, "All disease is due to congestion and all healing is due to circulation." This dynamic applies impeccably to an economic congestion. When people are afraid to spend money, there is less money in circulation; then people grow afraid to spend, and the cycle goes on. The dynamics shift when consumers act not from a sense of lack or fear, but from abundance and faith. So now would be a great time to spend your money. When you do, you affirm that you have enough and you keep the circulation moving — not just from you, but to you. If you don't have money to spend, or would rather not, then circulate your energy in other ways. Express your creativity, volunteer, paint, play music, journal, and do anything to move energy rather than let it stagnate. (Pressing buttons on the remote control to watch talking heads discuss the economy does not qualify as circulating energy.)

6. Milk Every Moment. It would be easy to think that you will be able to relax and enjoy your life as soon as the current crisis is averted or offset. But that's the carrot at the end of the stick — the one that you never get to bite. Either life is rewarding now, or it never will be. From the sense of the ego, or small self, if it's not the economy you have to wait to handle, it's something else. So now would be perfect opportunity to practice enjoying your day, regardless of what money is doing. Stop and chat with the clerk in the supermarket, play with your kids, call someone you love, walk in the park, or tinker with your hobby. This is the moment you've been waiting for — don't miss it!

Everything will work out. It always does. Be of good cheer. Be uplifted and be an uplifter, and your contribution to the economy, financial and spiritual, will be paramount.

i felt like some retail therapy after work today but have been trying not to spend too much money since kiko's between jobs, so i went thrifting. what i got for $35:

i am determined to find the biology golden book illustrated by charley harper. it's so expensive, i must find it in a thrift store for .99. . . but hey i found a 1951 copy of alice in wonderland and i love the 1963 my little golden book of manners. . . just what my little gentleman needed.

i've been feeling pretty shook up since getting home, still working on landing. . .
it was really great to be home, wasn't a very relaxing trip now. i've been dreaming of sandy beaches. . . my parents are going to hawaii for a month! so wishing i could go.

a bunch of things happened while i was gone that shook me up. my dreams got a little shook up, trying to figure out the new face of my dreams. there were many blessings, lessons and gifts but still working on processing. i finally got unpacked today. . . it took that long. i've had to work doubles every day since i got back, today was my first day off, and i got the cold everyone got.

anyway, i had an idea just now, maybe a first step? say a prayer if you can so i will know if it's the right first step to make to get to where we want to go (not sure what that looks like yet but will keep dreaming).

his art is really inspiring to me. i love the simplicity of line, the bold colors and the emotion. it's such a talent to convey so much with so much simplicity. most people know that editing isn't easy, to be simple can take skill and practice! in all things.
tyler's post here discussed both simplicity and capitalism too, free market choice. i love the idea that you vote with every purchase you make (that was at the end of food inc.). it was a real syncronicity to be reminded to actually really think about and plan your purchase. quality not quantity. to buy things that actually add a benefit to your life. he who dies with the most toys does not win because you can't take that with you. having things in your life that increase your joy. greed isn't good but it's hard not to have a lot of very strong feelings associated with money, and it's really hard to look them in the face sometime because there are some pretty horrible feelings. FEAR. WORRY. ENVY.
that's a part of the new good life. i'm reading john robbin's book:
his story is very interesting, he was the heir to the baskin robbins company and he walked away from it. would you? could you? hmmm. . . he's got drive and courage and is very honest. i find him very inspiring too.

and watched this movie, michael moore can be dramatic but there is a lot of truth in this as well. it gives you some awareness and insight into where our country is now. when the bible says beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, i think it could be talking about guys in suits:

honestly it makes you feel so much better. eating animal protien is actually terrible for you (read the china study if you don't believe me. . . eat a lot of animal protien and increase your risk of heart disease, cancer and diabetes not to meantion obesity!)

Spider medicine is cool. (i usually use my medicine cards)

Spider is the weaver connecting the knowledge of the past with the possibilities of the future. Notice that the shape of the body loosely resembles the sign for infinity.

Also notice that the center of the web is always small (you), and the web ever expanding (your possibilities).

Spider cautions us not to get locked into the illusion that has made you what you think you are. Our behavior, and our belief systems, and our view of ourselves is locked into an illusion of who we truly are that was created for us by others; usually starting as a small child. As we grow, our life becomes a reflection of those illusions, and those of us who do not follow that pattern are "rebels" or "black sheep" or other terms that imply non-conformity.

We are locked into that illusion because it has become our "comfort zone", and it is our fears of the unknown and untested which keep us in that zone. It is far easier to live in the hell we know, than to stick our mental and emotional toes out into the world and chance discovering that there is another way which may be better for us.

Spider is telling us that the possibilities for each of us is only limited by our own view of ourselves. Notice that the web constantly grows, outward, still connected to that small center space. It is always reaching, always expanding, never satisfied with the status quo. When something of value get caught in the web, it is taken back to that small center and utilized; never wasted. It may be stored for later use, but it is never wasted.

The next time you come upon spider weaving its web, stop to really look. Notice the beauty and symmetry and balance; the careful and intricate design. Spider is telling you to have the courage to reach out and create your own tomorrows; to break out of the illusion that has you locked in a time-step, and discover who and what you truly are.

i'm not very good about being spontaneous. . . but tonight i was. i went and checked out beats antique at the ogden theater, the opener was good too but i can't find their name. i really want to write a whole review but it's 1:30 am and i should go to bed. it was kind of like a hippy rave. i wish i would have worn a skirt and sandals with leggings i think. . . ya, it was pretty fun, they were pretty great, if you're into the same kind of stuff i'm into. tyler i think you and chad should totally go if you can. . .

The fox, because of its ability to blend into its surroundings, is given the reputation of being sly and cunning. When we call someone "foxy," we are not always being complimentary. We may be accusing them of trickery or dishonesty.

The word cunning, however, comes from the same Old English root as the word, kenning, which means to know, especially as applied to seeing something which isn't immediately visible. This can apply both to the fox's excellent vision and to the ability to anticipate. Fox's most important skill isn't being able to outrun the hounds, but to know in advance when they'll be on the hunt, and then making use of its equally important skill of camouflage.

Fox medicine can be an important skill when it comes to dealing with people. The gift of camouflage can be translated as the ability to stop and view an interpersonal situation with detachment, simply observing with all of one's senses. This especially includes opening up the less obvious senses, such as intuition.

Often the dynamics of a situation may seem obvious, but those who, instead of rushing to judgment, pay attention to both their outer and inner senses, may get an entirely different reading. When the outer situation and your inner senses don't match it is wise to follow the example of Fox, trust your intuition, and lay low.

An important aspect of Fox medicine is that, like Wolf, this animal is both monogamous and very devoted to its young. Many of its clever hunting tactics are designed to bring home food for the helpless kits and the nursing vixen. In like manner, our own alertness, and flexibility can serve more than our individual needs.

Fox is a powerful teacher for those who choose to live their lives consciously and deliberately. When we learn to detach from our surroundings and to observe with all of our senses, we, too, can anticipate and create the future.

so kiko's doing his student teaching for east high school here in denver and i've always wanted to see the mural painted in the library. it was painted in 1934 by Hugh Weller as part of the Works Art Project in the depression. I wrote my final term paper (22 pages) on why we need a Arts project NOW. How amazing would it be to have the government pay for art. I really want to get that paper published, it was really good and I was proud of it. . .

we got to hang out in the afternoon and had a few friends over. it was nice not to work, i worked a lot over the weekend, but had to take actual labor day off or i would have freaked out. nice to have a moment to breathe, and laugh with friends and family in the back yard.

we took a quick trip up the poudre river to see devotchka @ mishawaka
it was a rush to get there. . .

stopping to look for camping. . . all the camping was full. next time i'll be sure to make reservations, but we did find a place eventually.

wasn't long enough to fully recharge but sure was pretty!

there was a brown grasshopper on my windshield. looking right at me. he sat there as i drove. i was going to brush him off but realized there were a bunch of bird and worried about him, so i backed up back by my yard and got out and shoo'ed him off. . .
grass hopper medicine?

Grasshoppers/Locusts medicine includes jumping across space and time, astral travel, new leaps forward/leaps of faith/jumping without knowing where you will land, leaping over obstacles, ability to change careers quickly.

For them things may not progress step by step as they do for other people progress - but rather extremely fast. When taking that leap simply trust your own instincts on when to make the leaps. Listening to your inner voice and responding to it will lead you to positive outcomes. Don’t be afraid to make that leap, remembering all the while that Grasshopper’s only ever jump forwards and never backwards!

Remember: the fruits of the earth are for all to enjoy and there is plenty for all if used in a sacred way. People sometimes forget this sacred balance and take more than needed - this may also be an indication of people taking from you. Do others claim too much of your time and energy? Do they try and make you take responsibility for their actions? Ask yourself these questions, remembering that the going only gets tough when we refuse change.

no wonder i've felt completely unorganized and uninspired, my life was cluttered:

so our house phone broke and i bought a new one and then in the process of unplugging the old one and trying to get the new one in i had to actually face down my desk and office, which turned into a whole house cleaning. i couldn't stop. . . i still have a huge pile of to do stuff but it feels nice to a place to do it AND a started a drawing/painting!

it's a moroccan place, sit on the floor, belly dancing, eat with your fingers. . .
we had sooo much fun!
after dinner my friend andrew met us out @ lost lake.
then we went to p.s. lounge. i was telling the owner pete, how much i love his bar. they have a great juke box and every girl gets a free rose and a shot. pete bought us drinks and gave me a birthday present (a $20 gift certificate)! how sweet was that!

we went to the renaissance festival and to visit my friend jill. . .
this elephant was done with the parade and they said get out of the way and a family of 4 literally froze in front of it. it was weird. the lady literally had to yell and push them out of the way, "the elephant won't stop for you."
